Essential steps to lead a successful Social Media Campaign
First of all, reframe your notion of marketing communications. Where the typical marketing/PR program begins wrapping up, when a campaign is pushed out of the door, that’s where a Social Media program begins
Listen before you launch: premise of any Social Media Campaign is research, unless you know what is popular, who’s influential, issues that are driving negative sentiments ….diving into Social Media can be suicidal.
Clarify your positioning, define metrics according to business objectives.
Never jump into Social Media based on assumptions or what you know what would work traditionally. Remember, Social Media is powered by influence and as WOM can be extremely beneficial, negative sentiments can be equally be damaging to your brand image.
